QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH & SAFETY AND ENERGY POLICY

The company IKOPLAST S.A., recognising the importance of the quality of its products and services, environmental protection, health and safety at work, and rational energy management, implements and maintains an Integrated Management System in accordance with the requirements of International Standards ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 50001:2018.

Scope

The Unified Management System covers:

Manufacture of Plastic Packaging Goods

and is implemented taking into account the company's operating context, the needs and expectations of interested parties, as well as applicable legal, regulatory and other requirements.

For the development and maintenance of the system, the Company has established procedures for determining the environmental aspects arising from its activities. For the aspects that have been determined as significant, objectives and targets have been set, which are reviewed annually in accordance with the Company's commitment to continual improvement in environmental matters.

Our company is committed:

  • To provide products that consistently meet customer requirements, agreed specifications and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, with the aim of enhancing customer satisfaction. 
  • To set, monitor and review suitable and measurable objectives for quality, environment, health and safety at work and energy performance, in accordance with the company's context and strategic direction. 
  • To identify and evaluate the environmental aspects of its activities and to take appropriate measures to address significant environmental impacts. 
  • To protect the environment, including the prevention of pollution, the rational use of natural resources, the prevention and proper management of waste, the reuse and recycling of materials and, where feasible, the reduction of environmental impacts associated with its activities. 
  • To provide safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of work-related accidents, injuries and ill health, appropriate to the purpose, size and operational context of the company and the nature of its Occupational Health and Safety risks and opportunities. 
  • It identifies occupational hazards, takes measures to elimination of hazards and reduction of Occupational Health and Safety risks and to systematically monitor the effectiveness of the implemented measures. 
  • To ensure that consultation and participation of employees and, where they exist, of their representatives, on matters concerning occupational health and safety. 
  • To improve the energy performance through the systematic monitoring and evaluation of energy use and consumption, significant energy uses, Energy Performance Indicators and the Energy Baseline. 
  • To ensure that availability of information and necessary resources for the achievement of its energy aims and objectives. 
  • To support the procurement of energy-efficient products and services which affect the company's energy performance. 
  • To support activities designs that take into account the improvement of energy performance, where these can have a significant impact on it. 
  • To comply with the applicable legal and other requirements relating to quality, environment, Occupational Health and Safety, energy performance, energy use and energy consumption. 
  • To provide staff with appropriate information, training and awareness, so that they possess the required knowledge and skills and contribute effectively to the achievement of the objectives of the Integrated Management System. 
  • To consider the risks and opportunities that can affect the achievement of the intended results of the Management Systems and to plan appropriate actions to address them.
  • To continually improve the suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the Integrated Management System and, in particular, to pursue the continual improvement of environmental, energy, occupational health and safety, and quality performance.

Management ensures the necessary resources for the implementation of this Policy and the achievement of the objectives of the Integrated Management System.

The Policy provides a framework for setting and reviewing company objectives, is made known to and understood by the staff, applies to all relevant levels of the company and is available to interested parties.

The Policy is periodically reviewed by Management to ensure its continued suitability with regard to the operating context, strategic direction, activities and objectives of IKOPLAST S.A.
